1. What Sonar is
Sonar (the "Service") is a market-information tool that monitors public stock and crypto markets, evaluates user-defined rules against live data, and delivers alerts via push, email, and an in-app inbox. By using the Service you accept these terms in full.
2. Not investment advice
Sonar is not a registered investment advisor, broker, dealer, or financial planner. Every piece of content the Service produces — alerts, AI-generated answers, technical signals, news summaries — is for informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or refrain from acting on any security. Past behavior of a price, indicator, or rule never guarantees future behavior.
3. Your responsibility
Any trading decision you make based on Sonar is your responsibility alone. You acknowledge that trading involves the risk of substantial loss, including loss of principal. You agree to consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions. Sonar is not liable for trading losses, missed opportunities, or any other financial damage related to your use of the Service.
4. Subscription, cancellation, and refunds
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain access until then. We offer a full no-questions refund within 7 days of any new charge (initial purchase or renewal). Refunds beyond that window are at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service except via published API endpoints under a Quant subscription; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute Sonar's alerts or AI responses as your own product; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the Service; (d) use the Service to evade laws, market regulations, or sanctions; (e) share login credentials. Violations may result in account suspension without refund.
6. Service availability
We strive for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. The Service depends on third-party market data providers (Polygon, Finnhub, CoinGecko), AI providers (Anthropic), and payment processors (Stripe). Outages, data delays, or missed alerts can happen and do not constitute a breach of these terms.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from settings; deletion is permanent and removes all your alerts, rules, and history. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or for any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice when possible. Refund of any prepaid period not yet consumed will be issued pro rata.
8. Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonar's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
